CLEVELAND, OH - May 04, 2010 - The All-Star Greek Step Showcase™ announces that, due to the recent ecological tragedy on the Gulf coast, the 2010 National Greek Fraternity and Sorority Achievement Awards™ has been postponed until Fall, 2010 in order to coordinate the "Oil Spill Ecosystem Rescue Event" Fundraiser.

          The OSERE Fundraiser will be hosted by Greater Fellowship Assembly and is being held in order to emotionally support and monetarily assist in rescue and relief efforts of marshlands, jobs, and endangered animals along the now Oil-tainted Louisiana Coastlines; a state which has already experienced a massive, devastating natural disaster in Hurricane Katrina.

          "Sometimes you have to make a decision between the lesser of two evils.  This time, we are fortunate enough to have to make a decision between the greater of two goods," said Tim Carthon, Showcase Executive Director, "In our case, we can not only help the young people in our country with scholarships from the All-Star Showcase, but we can actually help older individuals, who relied on the now devastated seafood job market in Louisiana and the other three Gulf States, to make it through this horrible disaster and the subsequent, unbelievably-trying economic times."

           The Greeks United! All-Star Greek Step Showcase® showcases yearly “The All-Stars of Greek Fraternities and Sororities™.” This rare, “Academy Awards®”-type, red carpet event turns off the on and offstage aggression and stress of competitive Greek step show competitions.
